It also served to inform Ireland’s contribution to the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul in 2016.

The event was the result of an extensive consultative process that engaged the wider Irish humanitarian community over a ten month period.  The Summit was attended by senior representatives from non-governmental organisations, higher education and research institutions, private sector companies, diaspora networks, the United Nations and the Government.
