UCD Centre for Humanitarian Action is engaged in a number of policy fora and think tanks at all societal levels. The Centre capitalises on the networks established with these agencies and organisations to service its education and research activities.
At Global Level, some of the stakeholders that UCD Centre for Humanitarian Action engages with are:

  • United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs
  • The UN Refugee Agency
  • Network on Humanitarian Action
  • European Commission’s DG Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection
  • International Committee of the Red Cross
  • German Red Cross

Together with many universities as cited above in our research programmes.

At National Level, the Centre has forged strong relations with Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade with whom it enjoys ‘preferred partner’ status. The staff of the Centre are members of Development Studies Association Ireland and are regular contributors at its events. All of the main Irish NGOs have senior staff who are graduates of the Centre’s postgraduate programmes in humanitarian action. The Centre has capitalised on this strong relationship, which is set to grow in future years.
